BRYAN PFEIFFER is an author, essayist, editor and photographer with nearly three decades in publishing, broadcasting and digital media. He brings to Maple Corner Media particular expertise in health policy, natural resources and media relations.
Bryan’s media credentials span newspapers, magazines, radio, television, book-writing, public relations and the World Wide Web. His work has appeared in publications ranging from The New York Times to Field & Stream. As a statehouse reporter, he covered government and politics for Vermont's Rutland Herald and The Times Argus newspapers.
Bryan’s broadcast expertise includes writing for and appearing regularly on commercial and public radio and television. He maintains strong ties to Vermont Public Television, Vermont Public Radio and the stations of the Radio Vermont Group. Natural resources and the environment are among Bryan’s specialties. As a public relations consultant, he has brought regional and national media coverage to the work of various research and conservation organizations, including the Vermont Center for Ecostudies and the Vermont Institute of Natural Science.
A well-known naturalist and conservationist, Bryan hosted a public television special on birdwatching. He is co-author of the book Birdwatching in Vermont (University Press of New England, 2002) and writes a regular column on birds for Northern Woodlands magazine.
Bryan holds a degree in chemistry from the University of Michigan. He lives in Plainfield, Vermont, where he serves as a volunteer firefighter.
